The 2^nd  Thailand-China Joint Committee Meeting on Science and Technology  Cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand  and the Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R.C. was held in March,  2015 in Chiang Mai. Chinese and Thai delegations were led by Vice  Minister of Chinese MOST Mr. Cao Jianlin and permanent vice secretary  general Mr. Somchai Tiamboonprasert respectively. Beijing Great Wall  Enterprise Institute (GEI) was invited to attend the meeting to discuss  the formation of China-Thailand science technology and innovation policy  joint working group with Thailand partner STI.

  On  March 2nd,GEI and STI had the pre-meeting of Thailand-China Joint  Committee Meeting. Both parties agreed to form a “Thailand-China Science  Technology and Innovation Policy Working Group”. Mr. Wang Delu and Dr.  Kanchana co-chair the working group. Three projects (“China-Thailand  Science Technology Entrepreneurial Policy Joint Research Project”,  “Thailand-China Entrepreneurial Workshop” and “China-ASEAN ST&I  Policy Research Seminar” ) were included into 2015 working plan of the  group.

   On  March 3rd,Thailand-China Joint Committee Meeting on Science and  Technology Cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of  Thailand and the Ministry of Science and Technology of P.R.C discussed  and approved the proposal submitted by STI and GEI. Vice minister Cao  Jianlin and vice secretary Somchai pointed out the importance of  China-Thailand science technology and innovation policy cooperation.  This meeting officially included ST&I policy into bilatarial science  and technology cooperation between China and Thailand.
