On March 17, 2020, a delegation from the Hungary Embassy in China visited the GEI and discussed the issues related to the development of science and technology parks in Hungary and its cooperation with China. Hungary's Ministry for Innovation and Technology has just signed the Development Strategy of Science and Technology Parks, which plans to build two new science and technology parks outside Budapest. Mr. Wang Delu, Chairman of GEI, combined the successful experience of China’s science and technology park and the research conclusion of the in 2020 Report on the Development of B&R Science Parks, suggested Hungary to set up management committees in university science parks and encourage business driven innovation. The Hungarian representative highly appreciated GEI's suggestions, and invited GEI to deeply participate in the planning of Hungary’s Science Park.
